My training was in Librarianship. After several years working in medical libraries I joined the non-profit sector as a disability information worker. I ran a circuit rider project to help small charities in West London make better use of technology; I provided a similar service to small non-profits in Victoria, Australia when I worked for Infoxchange. Then worked on a project for IT4Communities, matching experienced IT volunteers to charities in need of technical help.
Since 2007 I have been a freelance website developer, helping to plan and build WordPress websites for non-profit organisations. My clients include organisations working in the fields of advice, the law, ectopic pregnancy, domestic violence, social research, breast cancer, book publishing and woodturning.
I’m also a co-ordinator for NetSquared London, organising monthly meetups about technology and social good.
